My grandfather W.T Waugh worked all his life at Seghill Pit, he and my grandmother lived in Blaketown until it was pulled down. Unfortunately I have no photos of the pit or of Blaketown, and would dearly love to have some. I was born in the Blaketown house and loved it. I have lovely memories of my grandfathers allotment on the opposite side of the road, the pit ponies on the grass behind Blaketown and also seeing the gates open and close at the level crossing. If someone has any old photos, perhaps they could email them to you and so on to me.
    Thank you, Anna
